What Cyber Protection controls do you have in place already?

If you are a small to medium business, you really need to at least enable MFA for your Microsoft Account and switch out your existing Antivirus Software for one that stops malware detonating from an accidental click or download. MFA on email accounts is essential because easy access to an email account as part of a password reset for another service is like handing over the keys to the kingdom.
Aren’t all Antivirus products the same?
Antivirus solutions work on the basis that if the file is not on the “bad list”, then it should be ok (with a basic check done).
What are the alternatives?
“Default Deny with Default Usability” is the new standard in Antivirus Protection” If the digital fingerprint of a file has never been seen before, then it is opened up in a safe zone on your computer to stop any possible damage that may come from opening the unknown file. If a file can not write, then it cannot create damage.
Patching of Windows 10/11 and Office 365 as soon as patches get released will reduce the chances of a system compromise via a security vulnerability. More often than not hackers try to exploit these vulnerabilities.
